9 INCH REMIX TRACK TYPES™ information:
1. 9 INCH
The traditional remixes that began our service! Always comes with 32 beat intro and outro, hype breaks at the start, the end and sometimes in the middle. Some remixes have 2 or more different breaks and can vary from mild to extreme. 9 INCH remixes define our service and most are considered not for the faint hearted DJ! They are great for crowd hypes and are particularly suited for club DJs.

2. STR8 CUTZ
The original song, with a beautifully re-created 32 beat intro and 32 beat outro. The intro/outro beats are usually a simplified or abstract version of the track instrumental that enhances usability of the track. We try to use the original elements of the track as much as possible without introducing new drum sounds. It is not an easy task, but those that know, love it and appreciate this series for that very reason!
Generally, if the track has any talking or annoying vocals at the beginning and end, they will be cut out. Over-beats are never added to any tracks of this type. We like to think of this type as the “no nonsense, straight cut”. This type is fantastic for mixshow DJs and any DJ who simply was the original cut with the added high usability factor.

3. PARTY UP
All old school and classic songs that are remixed go in to this type bucket. We have been putting songs that are older than a 2 years in to this type also. Songs are always remixed with breaks (like a 9 INCH), otherwise the track would be under STR8 CUT.

4. LYTEMIX
Lytemixes are a ‘watered down’ 9 INCH or a STR8 CUT with lightly mixed breaks placed at the intro, the end and sometimes the middle of the track. LYTEMIXES will also feature break beats and may also contain over-beats. They are an excellent choice for DJs who require break beats for scratching or to do a little re-remixing of their own to add their own flavor. If you do decide to re-remix a lytemix, IT IS STRICTLY FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY.

5. DEFCON
Are extremely “hardcore” type remixes. They only contain a track’s best elements and include breaks, choruses and break beats. All Verses are removed. These can be used in prime time sets. The distinction between a DEFCON and a BREAK is, a DEFCON has essentially the elements of a single song in it, whereas a BREAK is a mix of different songs.
6. MASHUP
The name says it all. A mash up is a track with the instrumental and vocals of two different songs mixed together, sometimes with breaks and sometimes without. We are known to create some of THE BEST mashups to ever bless a turntable! So, this type is definitely worth checking out!
7. TRANSITION
A track that transitions from one track to another. In other words, a pre-mix of two tracks. The transition can also have transitioning BPM. In other words, the track can begin at 80 BPM and transition to 100 BPM.
8. BOOTYMIX
A remix of a track with distinctive over-beats and generally the track is sped up 5 or 10 beats than the original. The over-beats are not reggaeton/dancehall beats.
9. QUICKCUT
A quick Cut is generally a LYTEMIX or a 9 INCH shortened to 2 minutes length. Generally the last verse is cut out.
10. BREAK
A mix of several tracks, generally in the same BPM. Used for hypes.

15. DANCEHALL
Any track that has had dancehall/reggaeton over-beats added on top. (we are aware that strictly speaking, there is a difference between dancehall and actual reggaeton, but we bundled it together to make it less confusing!)
16. RHYTHM
Instrumental of track, with slight remixing, intros and outtros included, great for scratching, re-remixing, and hype if your DJing with an MC.
17. EXTEND
The most basic type of remix. This type simply contains a 32 beat intro and outro that is usually a simple part of the instrumental at the beginning and end of the track. If the intro/outro beat is at all tampered with, it will be under STR8 CUTZ. This series is Great for Radio Jocks!
As this track type is easier to make, you will find that all the fresh tracks first appear on Blue Magic as this type. Most tracks will come in several versions, CLEAN, DIRTY and original remixes. Overbeats are never added to this type of track.
16. MINIMIX
A track of this type consists of several different (original) remix versions of a track mixed together to create a mini-mix. Breaks and intro/outro beats are always added.
